Healthy Dude

Jackson had his 15mo. doctor appointment the other day, and he's at a healthy 27lbs. 11oz. I actually was surprised the scale didn't say 50 lbs. When the nurse had me put Jackson on the scale, of course, he was grabbing everything around it. The scale said something like, "Holding." I'm standing there, waiting for the numbers, and the nurse is just standing there smiling. After what seemed to be 5 minutes, I finally asked her, "Is the scale waiting for him to not be holding on to anything before it gauges his weight?" She said, "Yes." Why didn't she tell me that?! It took me .5 seconds to get him distracted singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" (he actually does the motions) where he was no longer holding on to anything and it took his weight. Doh!

Dr. Lau said that Jackson is a healthy dude (not his exact words - Dr. Lau is more conservative than that) and is doing well. That is until 2 days later. He threw up at Mimi's house twice today and wouldn't eat anything! That is until I gave him a few of his favorite Goldfish crackers. He didn't have a problem getting those down! He's doing fine now and probably just had a stomach ache. Pobre cito!
